I retired from 27 years with Pacific Bell in April of 2000, and immediately started a new career as "District Representative" for Congresswoman Mary Bono running the Congresswoman's Moreno Valley office. I have two grown kids, both college graduates. Matt Baker, holds a B.S. in Business from Arizona State University, and is currently a mortgage broker for Countrywide in Scottsdale, AZ; and Katherine Baker, an actress/model in Hollywood, has a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. I have continued volunteering in the Miss America program for thirty years, wanting to "pay it forward" so that other young women would have the chance to benefit as I have!! In the early 70's I obtained both her B.A. and M.A. with her Miss California and Miss America scholarships.
