Meet Miss California 1999

MaryAnne was preliminary swimsuit winner in the Miss California Pageant. For her talent, she performed an exciting, high-energy tap dance to the music "Go Daddy O". She is also the second Miss Gavilan Hills in a row to earn the title of Miss California. MaryAnne received a Bert Parks Non-Finalist Talent Award at the 1999 Miss America Pageant.

MaryAnne began competing in the Miss America Program at the age of 19 and has earned $14,000 in educational scholarships to date. These scholarship dollars will help finance the rest of her education.

The 21-year-old daughter of MaryAnne and Tony Sapio of Rohnert Park, MaryAnne is a Broadcast Journalism major, minoring in Law. As an intern at KZST Radio, MaryAnne has also had hands-on experience in the field of broadcast journalism.

Upon completion of her internship, she was hired on as an on-site specialty reporter.Breast C
