Miss California Organization SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
2007 awards general policies claiming your scholarship
overview The scholarship fund is based on a rich scholastic tradition which has been the cornerstone of the Miss America program since 1945. Today, educational advancement, achievement, and public services continue to be the primary objectives for both the Miss America and Miss California Organizations in the face of changing roles for women in American society. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance, including in-kind scholarships. making it the world's largest single source of scholarships for women.

In 2005, the Miss California Organization and its local programs provided over $325,000 in cash scholarships. California leads the nation in cash scholarships awarded at the local level. Scholarship funds are contributed by corporate sponsors and individuals who commit their support to the professional advancement of young men and women. There are many levels of participation available to anyone who wishes to support the scholarship fund.

The Miss California Organization surpassed the $3,000,000 mark in cash academic scholarships awarded at the state and local level, since the pageant moved it's headquarters to San Diego in 1985.
