Miss California Competition Returns to Fresno in 2026

State Pageant to Take the Stage at the Saroyan Theatre, June 15–20, 2026

FRESNO, CA — The Miss California Organization is proud to announce its return to Fresno, California, the pageant’s historic home from 1994 through 2022. The 2026 Miss California Competition will take place June 15–20, 2026, at the iconic Saroyan Theatre in downtown Fresno, bringing the excitement, elegance, and empowerment of live pageantry back to Fresno. Fresno has always been an integral part of our history, and the Saroyan Theatre provides the perfect stage to showcase the talent, ambition, and dedication of the remarkable women who compete for the titles of Miss California and Miss California’s Teen.

This return marks a meaningful homecoming for the Miss California Organization and the Fresno community, which for nearly three decades played host to one of the most respected state competitions in the Miss America Opportunity. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of a live pageant as talented young women from across the state compete for scholarships and the honor of representing California at the Miss America Competition later in the year.

The Miss California competition is more than a crown—it is a platform for leadership and a celebration of ambition, service, and scholarship. Contestants compete in multiple phases of competition while advocating for causes they are passionate about, all while earning valuable scholarship support to further their education and professional goals. Watching a pageant live offers a unique energy: the excitement of competition, the inspiration of personal stories, and the pride in seeing California’s best young women take the stage.
